I am so sorry Blossoms it has been too long that I have been away from you. I apologize. I was trying to get back into he groove of Life After Surrogacy. Getting back to the rhythm of no doctor's appointments Skype meetings etc. Throw in the fact that I moved and we all know that moving is frustrating as hell, lol.

I loved my journey and loved my IP's and my Little Munchkin(my surrobabe)

So now , what's new on the horizon I have lost much of pregnancy weight gain and I am gearing up to do another journey. Crazy some may call me but they don't understand the raw emotions of the surrogacy world. It's where your secrets are laid bare and no one judges you it's where you connect with another being in a intimate way( not physical) and you share this bond that can never be broken.

I am going out this Memorial Day Weekend and intend to post new photos and a whole lot of information.

New Beauty find  African Black soap here is a pic for you to see what it looks like:

This soap works wonders for me and I have been using both brands for two weeks now. It has brought a lot of impurities in my skin by it has alos made it smoother and clearer without bleaching my skin, which is not something I am, looking to do. I am working towards clear skin, blemishes diminished  and fewer acne breakouts.

Getting the Plan together

So it's been 6 weeks since I have delivered my surro babe and I am feeling good great even physically. I am so much better than when I delivered my twins back in 2010. I never knew that our thyroid gland was responsible for so much mechanically (if I am applying the term correctly, I hope) in our bodies. But I think the better term would be hormonally.

Thyroid Gland and it's Function: The Thyroid's main job is to produce thyroid hormone. Hormones are chemicals that act like messengers that tell body parts what to do. Thyroid Hormones help the body make energy, keep your body temperature regulated and assist other organs I their function.
Just wanted to drop a little education blossoms as some of us don't know much about the thyroid gland and may not necessarily have heard about it.

I have been inundated with this feeling of a rebirth of sorts a new energy flowing in me. I like it I am feeling inspired not only about my health and weight loss but about my spiritual well being. I want to purge myself of old hurts and wounds and scars and I want my aura and chi to be in synch and clean. Sounds like a lot doesn't I am up from the challenge I want to move on and create more and insert more positivity into my and my family's everyday life. I want to be a better ME a more open adventurous, less pessimistic more optimistic me. I wasn't always pessimistic I have allowed a few rough spots overtake me and now I have the sandpaper to smooth them out.

So the PLAN Blossoms hmmm...... I am still organizing and I am using PINTEREST to do it. Funny when I first joined I didn't understand what the heck I was doing or how this would interest me but 6 months (or more I can't remember) I am pinning and getting excited with every one. I think that has helped fuel my creative passionate side as well as my new dosage of meds( and let's not forget my hubby's good loving lol It has been awhile). It has allowed me  to look at fashion, home décor, cooking etc. and put them in categories that interest me. It has allowed to create a visual reminder of what I am looking to try, achieve and visit. I admit I love PINTEREST didn't think I would but I do.

So the plan is coming together I am going to turn my dull wardrobe into an exciting spring/summer fling. I am going to insert colors that I would have been to shy to wear before and I am going to create  body scrubs, jewelry home cooked meals etc. after all I am "A DIVA ON A BUDGET" .

So until next time blossoms keep blossoming******

Beginning the steps

Hello Blossoms I you are all well. I promised to come back and start on my new regimen to care for my Oily-Skin. There is a lot to consider when on embarking on any journey a goal is the best place to start, issues are what you would like to address and how to get there. I have always had oily skin and I admit that I have slacked off a bit the last few years.

The cause of my acne breakouts are hormonal that means that I will always be afflicted with a breakout or two, since I will never be rid of it the best thing for me to was to make it as minimal as possible. My worst breakouts are after I deliver in the PP weeks my face flares up and I am taken back to high school days and dread looking like "a pimple faced teenager". My face becomes very inflamed and all the products on the market make it worse. I am afflicted with acne cysts and nodules that make me self conscious about the way I look but I am thankful that I started a regimen in my pregnancy that has kept the breakouts rather mild. So here is the regimen I have set up:

CLEANSE

EXFOLIATE

MOISTURIZE

Also, I should add treat to this. Now I haven't used anything with salicc  acid or benzoyl peroxide ( ingredients normally found in products used to treat acne) as my hormones are still raging. I don't start to treat my acne that way at least until 12 weeks post partum which by then everything is calm and it will help and not exacerbate the breakout instead of healing, preventing and treating it. I think even when I reach that mark I may not use such harsh items on my face especially if my regimen continues to work for me.

So it's goodbye for now and I will check in next week did I tell you that I got a consult for my eyesight and it seems Ms. Pynk Lotus herself needs glasses and bifocals (no-line) I need the weekend to absorb this lol who knows I may just share a pic with them on but that's for another post until next time Keep Blossoming!!!!

New Week

Hello Blossoms so its a new week time for a new post this week my focus is on my skin care routine. I have to say that for the last few years I have been half-assing my routine. I am not happy with this I have let work, family-life etc. overshadow what I need to do. So my pledge in 2014 is to not only correct this but to make it cost-efficient  but not overly time consuming. I lead an active life as a mother of two, wife, entrepreneur and surrogate mother. What I post will be beauty products I have tried skin care regimens that have worked for. It will not be medical advice as I believe totally in listening to your own personal Doctor's advice. This blog is a journey of rediscovery of myself of things that worked in the past and what no longer works for me. But if a review of a product or routine helps you my reader and faithful follower I will be blessed and happy, because we can all use a helping hand or words through out our life.

So last week I visited my favourite Wal-Mart now for those who don't know Wal-Mart is easy on your pocket book and their shelves are always well stocked with a variety of beauty item. I am now currently using the Simple brand products. I discovered this brand during the last two months of my pregnancy when that beautiful glow turns into an oil slick you just can't seem to get rid of it. I found a coupon that gave me $1.00 of any of their products so I headed to Wal-Mart while in tne aisle I met a worker who was handing out samples of their oil-balancing cleansing sheets double score I not only got to try their starte kit but also score free samples total spending $5.00 did I tell Pynk Lotus loves a bargain lol I do

Top photo is the rest of my booty and bottom photo is my free samples. So as I was saying before I found this product during my pregnancy and fell in love the smell is easy, it feels great and your skin feels better almost instantly, I say almost because we all know it takes frequent use of anything to see results. The fact that they have done away with a lot of ingredients that are harmful to our skin is great. I have bad hormonal breakouts after pregnancy and my face makes me feel like I am a teenager again and not in a good way. This has been helping to calm my skin the breakouts are still happening but its been reduced to 75% less which is very significant for me. I am using the face wash, toner, moisturizer and cleansing cloths. I am still tweaking my routine but these items sure do allow me cut down my time.

I will be back in the middle of the week to tell you my final skin care routine/regimen and product list. It's important to have a regimen cleanse+treat+moisturize. I am still tweaking mine. So until we meet again KEEP BLOSSOMIMG BLOSSOMS!!! :)
